Acupuncture works by stimulating your nervous system and activating your body's natural healing cascade.

When treating pain, the tiny acupuncture needles re-injure the tissue ever so slightly, reminding your body to send blood cells responsible for tissue repair and inflammation reduction to the affected area.

Acupuncture stimulates your nervous system, sending your body into a state of "rest and relax" and turning off the "fight or flight" response that so many of us find ourselves in.  Only when our sympathetic nervous system is quieted can our bodies heal, self-regulate, properly digest, and achieve homeostasis.

Cupping

Cupping is an amazing way to ease tension, reduce pain, and increase circulation.  Think of cupping as an inverse massage, so rather than digging into the muscles, the suction cup pulls and stretches the muscles outward, creating space and movement where tightness and adhesions once were. Cupping is like receiving an hour long deep tissue massage in 5 or 10 minutes.  Cupping is also used to treat headaches, insomnia, depression, anxiety in addition to pain.
